Two firms, one point of view
KPLAN Law Group, APC is an affiliated law firm of KYJ, LLP, Certified Public Accountants. The firms are separate professional entities and each client engages them separately, but they share a philosophy about how business owners and families should be advised: the legal structure and the tax result are one question, not two.
In practice, that means a company sale is drafted and modeled at the same time; an estate plan is written with the gift tax return and the trust accounting already assigned; and the CPA preparing your return can get a legal answer without sending you to find another advisor. Clients who want only legal services or only accounting services are of course welcome to engage either firm on its own.
